M42 in Orion1748 viewsImaged with a 178mm f/9 Astro-Physics refractor and a Canon 20Da (ISO 800) on a Paramount. Total of 30 two-minute exposures aligned, collimated, and combined in Images Plus and processed in Adobe PhotoShop CS2. Exposures were keep short to preserve detail near the bright core of the nebula.

Barnard 86 and NGC 65201533 viewsBarnard 86, which is a dark nebula, and the open cluster NGC 6520 in a Milky Way star field in Sagittarius. Four 3-minute exposures stacked taken with a Takahashi FSQ 106 and a Canon 20Da DSLR (ISO 400)
IC_410_and_the_Tadpoles.jpg
IC 410 and the Tadpoles1393 viewsIC 410 in the constellation Auriga is a nebula associated with the open cluster NGC 1893. On close examination, the two "tadpoles" can be found "swimming in the gaseous nebula." IC 410 imaged with a Canon 20Da DSLR and Takahashi Epsilon 180 f/2.8 astrograph on a Paramount.
IC_1805_n=1_3_min_exp_E180.jpg
IC 18051540 viewsIC 1805 in Cassiopeia. The loose open cluster in the center of IC 1805 is Melotte 15. A 3-minute exposure taken with a Takahashi Epsilon 180 f2.8 with a Canon 20Da DSLR.
North_American_n=1_3_min_exp_E180.jpg
North American Nebula1630 viewsNorth American Nebula (NGC 7000) in Cygnus. A 3-minute exposure taken with a Takahashi Epsilon 180 f2.8 and a Canon 20Da DSLR (ISO 800)

M15 Globular Cluster in Pegasus1507 viewsMessier 15, a gobular cluster in Pegasus, which was originally discovered by Maraldi in 1746 and rediscovered by Messier in 1764, lies 30,600 light years away. Fourteen 120-second exposures aligned, calibrated, and combined in Images Plus; processed with Adobe Photoshop CS2; taken with a 178mm f/9 Astro-Physics refractor and a Canon 20Da DSLR camera (ISO 800).
M45_Images_Plus_R.jpg
M 451445 viewsM 45, commonly known as the Pleiades, is an open cluster in Taurus that contains about 100 stars. The blue nebulosity (some faint red nebulosity is also present) shines by the reflected light of the stars within it. Image taken with a Takahashi Epsilon 180 f/2.8 astrograph and a Canon 20Da DSLR at ISO 800. Total of 15 X 300 sec Light frames; calibrated, aligned, combined and processed in Images Plus V 3.80 followed by Adobe Photoshop CS2 (20 darks and 64 flats for calibration).
NGC_6820_and_6823.jpg
NGC 6820 and 68231281 viewsNGC 6823 is an open cluster in Vulpecula, whose center contains 9th magnitude stars along with fainter members that is immersed in the faint emission nebula NGC 6820. Photographed with a Takahashi Epsilon 180 f/2.8 and Canon 20Da DSLR on a Paramount (Ten 5-minute exposures at ISO 800; calibrated, aligned, combined and processed in Images Plus V 3.80 (DDP stretch) followed by Adobe Photoshop CS4).
