The Eagle Nebula
The open cluster Messier 16 and the associated nebulosity IC 4703 are found in the constellation Serpens Cauda. The popular name of this object is the Eagle Nebula, and contains the "Pillars of Creation" that was made famous in the image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. This image was a total of 3.5 hours exposure (21 x 10 min subframes) taken with a modified Canon 40D and a Takahashi Epsilon-180ED.
